Under the hood, the 2024 Tundra has two powertrains, an I-force twin turbo V6 generating up to 389 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque and an I-force max hybrid twin turbo V6 churning out an incredible 437 horsepower and 583 pound feet of torque. Both engines are paired with a ten-speed automatic transmission, and 4×2 and 4×4 drivetrains are available. The hybrid powertrain offers impressive acceleration on and offroad with the combination of its electric motor and twin-turbo V6 engine accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in about 6.6 seconds.

The 2024 Tundra is fitted with a new multi-link rear suspension that helps improve ride comfort, straight-line stability, and overall handling dynamics. The double-wishbone front suspension also enhances the Tundra’s ride comfort, driving performance, and overall durability.  Higher trims have a rear air suspension system that automatically adjusts the rear to help it stay level when hauling a heavy load or towing a trailer. Toyota has not recalled any Tundra so far but the 2024 model was recalled six times for a variety of reasons including incorrect load-capacity labels, detaching tonneau covers, and failing spare-tire carrier chains.

The 2024 Tundra comes with a 36-month/36,000-mile basic warranty that applies to all components other than normal wear and maintenance items. Additional 60-month warranties cover the powertrain for 60,000 miles and corrosion with no mileage limitation.

Hybrid-related components, including the battery control module, hybrid control module and inverter with converter, are covered for 8 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. The hybrid battery is covered for 10 years or 150,000 miles, whichever comes first.

2024 Toyota Tundra Maintenance Schedule

Toyota recommends the 2024 Tundra undergo servicing after every 5,000 miles or every six months, whichever comes first. The next maintenance is due at 10,000 miles or a year, then at 15,000 miles or 18 months. More comprehensive checks are scheduled for 30,000 miles or three years.

At the 5000-mile mark, Toyota technicians should rotate tires, Visually inspect brakes, wiper blades, and fluid levels, Top off any fluids that may need it, and Check the installation of all floor mats.
