The Toyota 4Runner has established itself as a reliable SUV with a number of owners reporting many years of service without any major issues. The 2024 4Runner has a quality and reliability rating of 86 out of 100 according to JD Power. There have been no National Highway Traffic Safety Administration safety recalls.

Toyota backs the 2024 4Runner with a 36-month/36,000-mile basic warranty, which covers all components except normal wear and maintenance items. Additional 60-month warranties cover the powertrain for 60,000 miles and corrosion with no mileage limit.

Hybrid-related components, including the battery control module, hybrid control module, and inverter with converter, are covered for 8 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. The hybrid battery is covered for 10 years or 150,000 miles, whichever comes first.
