2024 Honda HR-V Performance
The 2024 Honda HR-V is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine mated to a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). This powertrain delivers 158 horsepower and 138 pound-feet of torque. It comes standard with front-wheel drive; all-wheel drive is available.
The 2024 HR-V has a satisfying punch off the line when you need it and delivers a joyful driving experience around town. However, some drivers may find it underpowered when getting up to highway speeds. The 2024 HR-V takes more than 10 seconds to accelerate to 60 mph.
When it comes to handling, the 2024 HR-V corners well with little body roll, and the suspension easily absorbs the impact of rough pavement, providing a comfortable ride. Its precise steering and strong brakes make it pleasantly sporty.
The HR-V offers three driver-selectable driving modes to fine-tune the driving experience depending on conditions.
Normal mode is set to balance fuel efficiency and driving performance. Snow Mode enhances traction management in slippery conditions softens the throttle response and adjusts the transmission and Real Time 4WD for low-traction conditions. An idle stop is disabled in this mode.
ECON mode is designed for fuel-efficient driving, ECON mode changes the pedal input/throttle opening ratio to maintain fuel efficiency even when the driver uses the accelerator pedal relatively aggressively.
