Jeep has made a lot of improvements to the Compass in the current generation making it a more attractive crossover inside and out. It is styled like a mini Jeep Grand Cherokee but is based on the DaimlerChrysler platform. The 2024 Compass lineup receives a new front grille insert treatment and new wheel designs up to 19 inches. The Trailhawk trim level receives a new all-terrain tire.

The 2024 Jeep Compass has a modern and simple interior with a tablet-style prominent touchscreen and a strong focus on driver-assistance tech.

It accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 8.3 seconds and can reach a top speed of 130 mph making it quicker than most other small SUVs.

The 2024 Jeep Compass also comes with a standard all-wheel-drive system that provides Auto, Snow, and Sand/Mud modes. The off-road-based Trailhawk provides legendary Trail Rated 4×4 capability with a One-inch factory lift, skid plates, aggressive off-road tires, Hill-descent Control, and Jeep signature red front and rear tow hooks.

In terms of handling, the 2024 Compass is quite capable but is not very impressive on pavements. The steering is fairly well-weighted but feels numb and there is noticeable body roll when cornering at high speeds.

Jeep recommends the Compass undergo servicing after every 7500 miles. At these intervals, the Tires should be rotated, the Oil changed and the oil Filter replaced. After 15,000 Jeep technicians should change again change oil and filter, rotate tires, and Lubricate Ball Joints. The same should be repeated after 22500 miles.

At the 30,000-mile mark, the process should be repeated in addition to replacing the air filter, Transmission Fluid Service, Spark plug replacement, and Transfer Case Fluid Replacement.
